How to get microchips from Guardian Shields in Fortnite
New weapons, assets or Reality Augments are all part of the deal, allowing players to get more kills and survive longer in the game. But before players can get their hands microchips, a Guardian Shield must be found. It’s not a difficult task to find Guardian Shields; they can be found as loot anywhere on the map. An easier way to find Guardian Shields is to loot Oathbound Chests. Players can easily find these chests in The citadel, Worn PlatesAnd Anvil Square as they progress through the game.

For this quest, players only need to get one microchip from Guardian Shields to complete the challenge. After players find the Guardian Shield, they must place it on the ground and the item will automatically create a blue shield for them. Now all you have to do is damage the Guardian Shield, which can be done with the harvesting tool or a traded weapon.
After taking damage, the Guardian Shield drops microchips. Quickly collect the Micro Chips to progress in the challenge. Finding these shields can be difficult, even after looting or if players have landed somewhere far on the map. The best option would be to just play as normal and wait for an opponent to use it during combat. This would give players the chance to shoot the Guardian Shield so it can easily drop Micro Chips.
