The only Gujarati featured in Maharashtra Government’s Film Bazaar Portal

Mumbai: The Maharashtra government has decided to create an online portal Film Bazaar for the development of various programs like Marathi films, serials, OTT in the state and this portal will be open 24/7 and 365 days. A committee of film industry experts has been constituted to develop this portal and the only Gujarati producer Ketan Maru has been appointed.
State Culture Department Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar told Mumbai Samachar on Thursday that Dadasaheb Phalke, Managing Director of Chitranagari, has been appointed as the chairman of the committee formed to prepare the Film Bazaar portal. Apart from this, well-known actor-producer of Marathi films Swapneel Joshi, Sandeep Ghuge, Sanjay Jadhav and Mahesh Kothare are other members of this committee.
Speaking about being appointed on a very important committee of the Maharashtra government, Ketan Maru said, ‘I am grateful to the Maharashtra government and Culture Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar for selecting me on the committee for the development of Film Bazaar Portal. I will share my years of experience as a producer and help in every way possible by leveraging my experience.’
Co-ordinating screenwriters, writers, producers, directors, artists, technicians and financial providers on one platform for the production of Marathi films, various serials, programs on Doordarshan as well as Marathi films and serials on OTT, advising them regularly etc. This committee will do the work.
Mungantiwar also said that efforts will be made to make films, serials and web series based on the lives of Maharashtra’s freedom fighters, other important social reformers, respected personalities in the field of literature and culture and the government will provide necessary help for the same.
