Mumbai: Non-teaching staff in Maharashtra have threatened to boycott the 10th and 12th exams. So the worry that the board exam may not be postponed is now bothering the parents along with the students.
The time for the 10th and 12th board exams is near. The 12th (HSC) examination is scheduled to start from February 21. However, the timetable for the 10th and 12th exams is likely to be greatly affected even before that. The non-academic employees have threatened to boycott the examination regarding their demands.
The non-academic employees have been presenting their demands for a long time. But these employees are going to stage marches on February 13, claiming that they are being neglected by the government. However, if their demands are not met, they will go on an indefinite strike during the examination period, the Maharashtra State Secondary School Teachers’ Association has warned.
The non-teaching staff have demanded immediate recruitment. Giving benefit of service year scheme to non-academic employees, implementation of old pension scheme. The recognition on the compassionate appointment was given immediately. Mumbai University exams have been postponed earlier due to a strike by non-academic staff. So now the question of what will happen to the tenth-twelfth examination has arisen.
