The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party at the center is the main opposition Congress has come under fresh attack alleging massive corruption during his rule. The BJP on Sunday released the first episode of allegations titled ‘Congress Files’. BJP’s official Twitter handle tweeted, “In the first episode of Congress Files, see how the Congress rule was one corruption and scam after another…”

In a video titled ‘Congress means corruption’, the BJP alleged that “Congress has looted Rs 48,20,69,00,00,000 from the people during its 70 years of rule. That money could have been used for the useful development of public works and their protection.

Manmohan Singh kept his eyes closed
Attacking the Congress party, the BJP in the video termed Manmohan Singh’s 2004-2014 tenure as a ‘lost decade’. The BJP said in the video, “Keeping aside the entire 70 years, if we look only at the previous tenure of 2004-14, it was a ‘lost decade’. The government was then headed by Manmohan Singh, turning a blind eye to all the corruption of the regime. In those days the newspapers were full of news of corruption, which made every Indian’s head hang down in shame.”
MNREGA Scam of Rupees 10 Lakh Crore
The BJP alleged in the video, “Coal scam of Rs 1.86 lakh crore, 2nd spectrum scam of Rs 1.76 lakh crore, MGNREGA scam of Rs 10 lakh crore, Commonwealth scam of Rs 70,000 crore, 362 in helicopter deal with Italy under Congress rule.” Bribery of crores, there were incidents of bribery of 12 crore rupees for the Chairman of the Railway Board.”
Congress also attacked BJP on Adani issue
At the end of the video message, BJP said, ‘This is only a glimpse of Congress corruption, the film is not over yet’. Earlier, the Congress had also hit out at the BJP on the Adani issue and released several sets of questions under the ‘Hum Adani Ke Hai Kaun’ campaign. The party has alleged that the BJP has given a “monopoly” to the Adani group in various projects.
