After yesterday’s incident of rape of a small girl, anger has flared up among the townspeople. On Tuesday, an incident of attempted rape of a 5-year-old girl came to light in Udyog Nagar near Gondal Road in Rajkot city. Due to this, the residents of Udyog Nagar put up banners not to keep foreigners in the area. Migrant laborers often drink alcohol in the area. Along with the alcohol found in Lohar Nagar area, the locals put up banners all over the area and drew the attention of the law enforcers against the alcohol and the provincial laborers. A person involved in criminal activity is often addicted to alcohol. There has been a public demand that the police should raid such liquor dens and shut them down and teach the illegal elements a lesson and make them aware of the law.
