The best Hela deck in Marvel Snap

In Marvel Snap, the Discard archetype is all about playing your odds on which cards get discarded and trying to manipulate those odds in your favor. This is especially the case with Hela decks, which seem to throw away all of their expensive cards except Hela herself. This can be a tricky business, with many games coming down to flipping coins when Hela dodges a discard trigger. While the deck sometimes struggles with its consistency, in games where Hela survives to turn six, the deck can swing almost any game in its favor.

According to marvelsnapzone.com’s meta breakdown and deck tier list, this Hela deck is the Hela deck with the highest win rate and a Tier Four deck. The deck has a high curve as is the case with many Hela games, and with no card lower than three energy it can struggle with aggro matchups.

The power of the card game lies in throwing down Marvel Snap’s Zabu card on turn three and playing an explosive turn four with two four Cost cards. Your best follow-up after Zabu depends entirely on the condition of your hand, but Anniversary at Sandman is an incredibly strong line of play that takes out opposing Zabu decks, as well as the current meta-terror in Silver Surfer.

At first, it may seem strange to include an unplayable card Dead in this list, but Death serves as the top Lady Sif target in the card game thanks to her cost of nine Energy. This allows Lady Sif to be played even when Hela is in the hand, as Lady Sif will target Death on all other cards.

Captain Marvel is another unique pick here, but her power lies in her ability to steal games by moving to a winning spot on the board. Hela suffers from her own ability to be random and possibly place the cards she summons in a bad position. Captain Marvel can remedy this by launching himself into a location, potentially mitigating Hela’s spelling errors.

Sandman is by far the most eye-catching pick in the deck, as Sandman is typically a very weak card, but he currently closes out two of the meta’s best archetypes in Zabu and Silver Surfer. Both archetypes like playing multiple cards per turn, including regularly playing three cards on turn six. However, Sandman stops both strategies in their way.
