“Stab That Cake” season 1 will be released on Cooking Channel

In less than a day, Food Network is launching a fresh new baking contest called Stab That Cake. The next reality TV series will feature three skilled bakers who will test their abilities to the limit. Stab That Cake debuts on the Cooking Channel on Friday, December 30, 2022 at 9PM ET/8PM CT. The three bakers will place their realistic cakes next to real things in a grocery store to see if they can pass for the real thing.

The official summary of Stab That Cake is as follows:

“Three bakers compete to see if their hyper-realistic pies can trick two pairs of Stabbers (pie lovers) at a grocery store, where they must decide what’s real and what pie is hidden in plain sight.”

In the first episode of the programme, entitled Is That a Fruit Cake? A few days before the first episode of Stab That Cake, hosted by Jocelyn Delk Adams and John Henson airs on the Cooking Channel, here’s everything you need to know about episode one.

The first episode of Stab That Cake will air on Cooking Chanel on December 30, 2022.

The official synopsis of the first episode, titled Is That a Fruit Cake, reads:

“In Round 2, presenters John Henson and Jocelyn Delk Adams challenge the surviving bakers to wrap their pies in edible plastic to confuse the strikers with their realistic pie recreations of produce on display in the greengrocer’s section.”

Cake lovers must choose which items they see as real and which are hyper-realistic cakes. The first episode airs Friday, December 30 at 9pm ET/8pm CT. With a valid YouTube TV subscription, non-cable viewers can watch the episode live.

According to the show’s press release:

“Hosts John Henson and Jocelyn Delk Adams challenge the bakers to make their pies and then hide them in plain sight in a supermarket setting, where two teams of pie lovers race to decide what’s real and what’s pie.”

John Henson is a well-known comedian, actor and television host. He hosted the Food Network’s Halloween Baking Championship and co-hosted ABC’s Wipeout. John started acting when he was eight years old.

Jocelyn Delk Adams

Jocelyn didn’t realize she had a talent for baking until she was in her twenties. Her grandmother inspired her business, Grandbaby Cakes, and she provided traditional recipes with a contemporary twist. She also appears on Santa’s Baking Blizzard and Beat Bobby Flay as a judge.
