Savarkar Gaurav Yatra started across the state including Mumbai

Mumbai: Savarkar Gaurav Yatra was taken out across the state including Mumbai on Tuesday. The yatra was organized to protest Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s derogatory remarks against freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar.
A few days ago, in a joint meeting, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced that Savarkar Gaurav Yatra would be taken out across the state. A yatra was taken out in each district of the state and the local MLA and or Palak Pradhan led the yatra. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde joined the Gaurav Yatra in Thane, Union Minister Bharti Patil Savarkar joined the Gaurav Yatra in Nashik. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde in Nagpur and Maharashtra State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule in Mumbai joined the Savarkar Gaurav Yatra.
