Resident Evil Lady Dimitrescu | Pocket tactics

by Ana Lopez

Well, hello there, Lady D. Finally, the 9ft vampire mummy is on the small portable screen thanks to the cloud version of Resident Evil Village, and we couldn’t be happier about that. Seriously, my first reaction when she yelled “I’ll find you and I’ll break you” was “really, promise?” So of course I had to put this together Resident Evil Lady Dimitrescu guide, diving into who she is and the role she plays in the village.

Who is Lady Dimitrescu from Resident Evil

Lady D is one of the four lords in Resident Evil Village, and as a result of the Megamycite she has great regenerative abilities, although you could argue that this works a bit too well as the woman is over 6 feet tall! Unsurprisingly, she lives in Dimitrescu Castle, a majestic home that has been in her family for generations. However, she did not arrive in the village until she was forty, because Mother Miranda promised a cure for her hereditary blood disorder. Although the game never mentions what her condition is, I strongly suspect it is haemophilia.

She is the first of the four lords Ethan must face as he fights his way through the castle, collecting masks and fighting Dimitrescu’s daughters Bela, Cassandra and Daniela. No, they are not biologically hers. Rather, all three are the result of an experiment Alcina conducted on the Cadou parasite years prior to the events of Resident Evil Village.

Over the years, Dimitrescu and her daughters would torment those living in the village, as the young women who worked in the castle often disappeared, as did men from the town itself. Lady D despises men. I ask myself why? Of course I can think of a few reasons, but I’d like to hear hers.

Resident Evil Lady Dimitrescu’s personality

She is a patient, kind, loving and generous lady. Well, she is if those words actually mean sadistic, angry, evil and a little vain, in all honesty. Do you know what actually? I’m in a generous mood. She is loving when it comes to her daughters. The anger and desperation she feels when you kill them one by one is obvious. Heck, she even hides her youngest, Daniela, in the library, but Ethan from Resident Evil still finds her and kills her.

I should also point out that she has a superiority complex and is a bit hypocritical. She turns into a giant dragon-like creature and tries to kill Ethan for what he did to her daughters, but she helps kidnap his daughter and separate her into small pieces, keeping part of Rose in the castle. Honestly, Alcina and Ethan probably should have had a parent-to-parent conversation when this all started, but since she’s literally hanging Winters on hooks in his hands as soon as they meet, I bet that was never on the cards.
