According to Rajkot Rural Provincial Officer Vivek Tank, 10 buses have been allotted to Rajkot city, 14 buses to Gondal province, 18 buses to Jetpur province, 28 buses to Dhoraji-Upaleta and Jamkandorana to take devotees to the fair.
The Chaitra Sud Navami, a five-day fair held on the occasion of the marriage of Lord Shri Krishna and Rukmaniji at Madhavpur Ghede in Porbandar, is starting from March 30. As this fair is like a confluence of East and West cultures, District Collector Arun Mahesh Babu has arranged 70 buses to take the devotees of Rajkot district to this national fair free of charge.
On April 1, buses will depart from various areas of the district
On the morning of April 1, these buses will leave from various areas of Rajkot district to reach Madhavpur. According to Rajkot Rural Provincial Officer Vivek Tank, 10 buses have been allotted to Rajkot city, 14 buses to Gondal province, 18 buses to Jetpur province, 28 buses to Dhoraji-Upaleta and Jamkandorana to take devotees to the fair.
As many as 1439 devotees have registered so far to go to the fair. Apart from this, various havelis of the city, ISKCON temple, Murali Manohar temple, members of various religious and social organizations are also eager to attend the fair. For this, a meeting was also held with various organizations by various provincial officials of the district.

In which the leaders of these institutions expressed enthusiasm about going to this national fair. Importantly, Deputy Mamlatdars as well as various clerks have also been tasked to facilitate the travel of devotees for the Madhavpur Mela. Besides, a supervisor will also be posted per bus.
Madhavaraya Mela is held to commemorate the wedding of Lord Krishna and Rukmani
Lok Mela of Madhavpur is held every year to commemorate the marriage of Lord Krishna and Rukminiji. Lakhs of Krishna devotees come from all over the country to participate in this event. It is held for 5 consecutive days in Madhavpur Ghed village of Porbandar district. Ganesha installation, Swayamvar ceremony, Varghoda etc events are celebrated here.
