Sania Mirza played her last professional match at the WTA tournament in Dubai last month. In Hyderabad, he said goodbye to the tennis racket and his career for the last time.

  India's tennis great Sania Mirza bid farewell to her career from the very place where she started it.  With tears in her eyes, pride on her face, holding son Izaan's hand in hers, Sania said goodbye to tennis forever.  Sania ended her career by playing one match at the Lal Bahadur Tennis Stadium.

The special ceremony was attended by Rohan Bopanna, Yuvraj Singh and his best friend Bethenny Mattek-Sands.  Several dignitaries attended, including Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju and former Indian cricket team captain Mohammad Azharuddin.  Sania, who has won six Grand Slam matches, ended her journey beautifully by winning both the matches.

Sania became emotional in her farewell speech and said that the biggest honor for her is to play for the country for 20 years.  Thanking everyone who supported her in her journey, Sania said, “The biggest honor for me is playing for my country for 20 years.
