It was difficult for the Lucknow team to score runs in Ikana. Captain KL Rahul scored a half century. Lucknow scored 159 runs for the loss of 8 wickets.

Lucknow Super Giants team is playing their 5th match of the season. Lucknow have won 3 matches out of 4 earlier in the season. Punjab Kings are also competing with the intention of winning to increase their points. The pair of KL Rahul and Kyle Meyers added 53 runs to the team’s score board. However, Meyers returned as the first wicket. Meyers scored 29 runs off 23 balls. During this he hit 3 sixes and 1 four. He fell prey to Harpreet Brar in the 8th over. After that, in the next over, Deepak Hooda returned by scoring only 2 runs. Krunal Pandya contributed 18 balls to the team against 17 balls. Nicholas Pooran returned with the loss of a golden duck wicket.

Lucknow skipper KL Rahul single-handedly tried to move the team’s scoreboard up. He scored a half century. Rahul scored 74 runs off 56 balls. Rahul was made his victim by Arshdeep Singh. However, Krunal Pandya made an attempt after Meyers provided good support, but it returned falling prey to Kagiso Rabada. Marcus Stoinis scored 15 runs off 11 balls. Stoinis hit 2 sixes during this.
