Captains of Gujarat Titans, Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore have been fined Rs 12 lakh each so far.
Not only the captain but also the players have been fined for their conduct and behavior during the season. In which Avesh Khan and Ravichandran Ashwin have been penalized under this rule. Here we will know that five players have to be penalized for the three rules of the Indian Premier League.
Trapped by the slow over rate
The captains of Gujarat Titans, Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore, Hardik Pandya, Sanju Samson and Faf du Plessis, respectively, have been fined for slow over rate. All these three captains could not finish their bowling in the allotted time. For which they were fined 12 lakh rupees each.
As per the rule, when a team incurs a slow over rate penalty for the first time, the penalty is levied on the team captain. But when a team commits a second slow over rate, this time the penalty goes to the team. That means the entire team is fined.
Avesh and Ashwin also got trapped
Lucknow Super Giants player Avesh Khan was found guilty under Rule 2.2. He was fined by the IPL. As soon as he won against Royal Challengers Bangalore, he got excited and threw his helmet on the field. According to the rules, a fine was imposed for improper use of cricket and ground equipment.
Ashwin questioned the umpire. He told the media that the umpire changed the ball unnecessarily without asking the bowling team. Thus, he expressed his displeasure against the decision of the umpire. Ashwin was found guilty of rule 2.7. He was fined 25 percent of the death fee.
