The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized around 1970 grams of cocaine in an operation at the Mumbai airport on Wednesday (April 5). The market value of this quantity in the international market is around Rs 20 crore. A total of three people, including an African man, have been arrested in this case. According to information provided by the DRI, the 35-year-old accused landed at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai from Addis Ababa.
The accused brought 1970 grams of cocaine hidden in his bag. DRI officials were suspicious of this passenger. After this, he was tracked and caught and arrested with perfect planning.

The plan was to deliver drugs from Mumbai to other parts of the country
The concerned accused was to give this cocaine to his colleague at the Mumbai airport. With the help of his accomplice, the accused was trying to route his drug consignment from Mumbai to a network spread across other parts of the country. But before the plan could succeed, the action of DRI officials busted it and seized a large quantity of drugs.
After receiving this input, the DRI officials laid a trap and caught a total of three accused. One of the accused is an African citizen. The police are investigating the matter. A video of the incident has surfaced and is quickly going viral on social media.
