A large number of people gathered during the Maharashtra Bhushan Award Ceremony in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai on Sunday. Prize distribution program was held in open ground. Due to the heat in the field, people’s health started deteriorating.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has announced to give 5 lakh rupees as compensation to the families of the deceased. Along with this, he has said that all the patients should be given proper treatment by the government.

Let it be known that the program of Maharashtra Bhushan Award was organized in 306 acres in Kharghar. Union Home Minister Amit Shah also participated in this program. The program ran from 11:30 am to 1 pm on Sunday. Many people had come to the field since Saturday itself. People’s health started deteriorating due to extreme heat and dehydration.

Social activist Dattatreya Narayan alias Appasaheb Dharmadhikari was given the Maharashtra Bhushan Award at the event. The award was given by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and other government ministers also participated in the programme.
