Weather Updates: Meteorological department has predicted rain in the state amid scorching heat. Rain is likely in many districts for the next three days. Rain is forecast in North and Central Gujarat and Saurashtra, in which rain is also likely in Kutch, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Junagadh, Girsomanath.
In Gujarat, there is a possibility of monsoon once again amid the scorching heat that is falling in the beginning of summer. The meteorological department has predicted rain in the state for the next three days. According to which, scattered rain may occur in North and Central Gujarat and Saurashtra. Rain may occur in Kutch, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, Junagadh, Surat, Valsad and Navsari districts of the state, while rain may occur in Vadodara, Dahod and Chhota Udepur. On the other hand, the temperature may reach 39 degrees in many cities of the state due to rising heat. This year is predicted to be 4 to 6 degrees warmer than normal. In the month of March, the temperature in many cities of Gujarat is likely to exceed 41 degrees.
Appeal not to go out due to heat
Regarding precautionary measures, the Meteorological Department said that people should not venture out during extreme heat. It was also said that the farmers should cultivate the crops that grow well in the heat.
The effect of El Nino will be neutral
It was stated by the Meteorological Department that the effect of El Nino will be neutral this year considering the current situation. It is to be noted that El Nino drags down rains while La Nino conditions are favorable to bring rains. At present, El Nino has no negative effect on the pre-monsoon.
