Banaskantha district in North Gujarat which is a district with inter-state and international border. In the interior villages of Banaskantha, which are close to the border of Rajasthan, the villagers living there have to bear the brunt of the dispute due to the boundary area.
Sarpanch of Wachhol village laid the pipeline
A problem has arisen regarding the water line in Wanchol village of Banaskantha district. This happened in the village of Wanchol. The system of Rajasthan state, which is adjacent to the village, laid a water line within the limits of Gujarat under the Nal Se Jal scheme of the central government.
Local people strongly protested the laying of water line in Wanchol village by the Rajasthan government. Also the sarpanch of Vanchol village laid this water pipe line.
The locals had informed the administration about this, but no action was taken by the administration, causing great resentment among the villagers.

On the other hand, Dhanera Taluka Development Officer Moda Mada also reached the scene of the incident and has taken stock of the entire incident and has promised to take further action. According to TDO, this dispute can be ended only if the officials of both the states measure the land together.
