Lawyers are being paid crores of fees to fight cases. However, the case is alleged to be pending. The opposition claims that 7 thousand 944 legal cases are pending in the corporation.
Ahmedabad Corporation’s Legal Committee is a mere ornament, this sensational allegation was made by Opposition Leader Shehzad Khan Pathan. The Opposition raised questions against the Legal Committee and made serious allegations that the Legal Committee of the Corporation is much weaker than other departments.

Lawyers are being paid crores of fees to fight cases. However, the case is alleged to be pending. The opposition claims that 7 thousand 944 legal cases are pending in the corporation. In the last two years, out of 8 thousand 100 legal cases, only 156 cases have been resolved. According to the opposition, 71 cases are pending in the Supreme Court, 4 thousand 341 in the High Court, 35 in the Metro Court and 2 thousand 494 in the City Civil. So 52 cases are pending in the Tribunal Court and 236 in the Labor Court.
On the other hand, the Chairman of the Legal Committee rejected all the allegations of the opposition and said that the case pending is baseless. More than 4 thousand cases have been solved in the last two years.
