Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel paid a courtesy visit to Vietnam’s Ambassador to India Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai in Gandhinagar. During this courtesy call meeting, he expressed his willingness to partner with Gujarat in renewable energy and green hydrogen and mining and steel sectors.
Gujarat CM And Vietnam Ambassador Meet
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel paid a courtesy visit to Vietnam’s Ambassador to India Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai in Gandhinagar. During this courtesy call meeting, he expressed readiness for partnership with Gujarat in renewable energy and green hydrogen and mining and steel sectors. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel gave a positive response to the necessary support of the state government in this regard and said that the state government is eager to take the existing mutual trade and commerce cooperation between Gujarat and Vietnam forward more rapidly. In which CM Bhupendra Patel welcomed the ambassador of Vietnam on his first visit to Gujarat and also said that he should visit the tourist places, Statue of Unity and important religious places of Gujarat as per his convenience.
During the discussion of this courtesy visit meeting in the presence of Industry Minister Balwantsinh Rajput, Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Hai also gave detailed details about the huge potential of exporting cotton, dry onion, dry garlic and seafood from Gujarat to Vietnam.
During the discussion, emphasis was also placed on making people-to-people contact more widespread
The meeting also discussed the fact that the increase in people-to-people contact between Gujarat and Vietnam in the past few years has led to more tourists from Gujarat visiting Vietnam. Both Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Vietnam’s Ambassador to India also emphasized during the discussion about making this people-to-people contact more extensive in the future.
Ease of Doing Business Environment in Gujarat
Nguyen Thanh Hai said that Vietnam can learn a lot from the expertise Gujarat has achieved in the digital transformation and energy generation sector. The Vietnamese ambassador also proposed in this courtesy call meeting the direction of thinking for a sister city relationship between Gujarat and Vietnam. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said in this meeting that there is such an ease of doing business environment in Gujarat that once the countries that participate in trade and industry with Gujarat do not go anywhere except Gujarat.
While the Vietnamese ambassador also supported this matter by praising the holistic development of the state. Chief Principal Secretary Kailasanathan, Additional Chief Secretary Industries Department Kamal Dayani, Industries Commissioner Rahul Gupta and Honorary Consular Saurin Shah of Vietnam were present in the courtesy call meeting.
