The information was given by the Foreign Office that Indians were also trapped and missing in this earthquake. Now the news is coming from Turkey which gives hope to the family of the missing Indian.
Vijay Kumar, a resident of Paudi Garhwal in Uttarakhand, is missing and the rescue team has recovered his passport and belongings from the rubble of the hotel, according to an official of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs. But none of their pugs were found by the rescue team. Officials further said that we have widened our search area and are being checked in nearby hospitals.
Vijay Kumar works in a company in Bangalore and was staying with his colleague in a four star hotel in Turkey. Even his co-worker could not be traced yet. It may be mentioned here that Kumar was sleeping in the hotel room when the earthquake struck on Monday.
Kumar’s family and friends in India, with luggage and passports recovered from the wreckage, have raised hopes following this news. Family and friends became worried as there was no trace of Kumar till Wednesday and Thursday.
