An initiative was taken by Somnath Temple to perform Bilva Poojan on Shivratri by paying only 21 rupees in Mahashivratri. Arrangements were made in which the devotees could also write online pooja. The initiative received a huge response and a large number of devotees registered for the puja. Now the prasadi of this puja will reach the homes of 1.40 lakh devotees with the support of the post. This system was initiated by Somnath Trust and Post Office in Ahmedabad.
Mahashivratri Puja Somnath Mahadev’s 21st special Bilva Puja has received an unprecedented response in all the states of the country. It was a record breaking event that more than 1.40 lakh devotees registered for one puja at the same time. These special pujas were booked by devotees on the 4 mediums of Somnath Trust website somnath.org, razor-pay, somnathprasad.com, and Somnath Pujavidhi Counter. At that time, the Somnath Trust made various preparations so that every devotee living in the country and abroad would receive the blessings of Somnath Mahadev without fail.
Devotees who book pooja by Somnath Trust will be sent an envelope to the address given by the Pooja, containing a Samman Patra, Rudraksha, Bhasma Prasad, and Bilvapatra as Naman for registering Pooja. Lakh Prasad Kits of this type have been continuously prepared by the employees and volunteers of Somnath Trust. So that the grace of Mahadev can reach the devotees as early as possible. The world’s largest postal network Indian Post has been selected by the trust as the medium to deliver this prasad.
State Post Master General Neeraj Kumar was handed over boxes of prasad envelopes prepared by Yogendra Desai, Secretary of Somnath Trust at Naranpura Head Post Office for devotees booking pujas across the country. On this occasion Yogendra Desai, Secretary of Somnath Trust informed everyone about the Bilva Puja for 21 Rupees organized by the Trust under the guidance of the Chairman of Somnath Trust and the Prime Minister of the country Narendra Modi. And said that the task of delivering this Prasad is the task of connecting devotees living across the country with Mahadev.
