Gandhinagar: Raids by 1700 police officers in 17 jails across the state, live monitoring of CM, Home Minister and DG till late night

This surprise checking operation has been carried out by around 1700 police officers in 17 jails of the state. The Chief Minister of the state Bhupendra Patel is currently monitoring the entire surprise checking from the CM Dashboard.

On the instruction of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and under his guidance, Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi held a high-level meeting at the DGP office in Gandhinagar Police Bhavan. After this meeting, 17 prisons of the state were raided by around 1700 police officers-employees. In this meeting, the district police chiefs were instructed to prepare police squads under the leadership of the district police chief and conduct surprise checking in all jails by connecting them through video conference.

Live monitoring of CM, Home Minister and State Police Chief till late night

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel is also watching the surprise checking live of all the jails of the entire state till late night from the CM dashboard, discussing with the Home Minister and the State Police Chief and keeping an eye on the latest news. Minister of State for Home, State Chief of Police, Chief of IB and Head of CID Crime and Secretary of Home Department were also present, monitoring the surprise checking in all jails live from the Command and Control Center – Trinetra.

The district police chief and all jail chiefs joined online

Under the instructions given by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel to conduct surprise checking in all jails of the state, under his guidance, Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi held an important high-level meeting today at the DGP office at Gandhinagar Police Bhavan. State Home Secretary Puna Toravane, State Police Chief Vikas Sahai and senior officers of Home Department and Police Department were present. All district police chiefs and all jail chiefs joined online in this meeting through video conference.

This surprise checking operation has been carried out

After the instructions given in this important meeting, police squads of the respective districts were prepared under the leadership of the district police chief and surprise checking has now been started by these Gujarat police squads with body worn cameras in all the jails across the state. This surprise checking operation has been carried out by around 1700 police officers in 17 jails of the state.

The Chief Minister of the state Bhupendra Patel is currently monitoring the entire surprise checking from the CM Dashboard. Besides, Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi and senior police officers are monitoring live the surprise checking going on in all the jails of the state from Command and Control Center – Trinetra.
