All the jails of Gujarat have been raided simultaneously. In which action has been taken against the illegal activities going on in the jail. The raids were conducted after a high-level meeting of the Minister of State for Home Affairs. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi are keeping an eye on all these raid operations.
Meanwhile, during the raid operation, 6 mobile phones were found from Bhuj Jail. So SIM cards were seized from Vadodara. Also, materials including tobacco and cigarettes have been found in the prison at some places.
Raiding operations in various prisons of the state
According to a detail, Atiq Ahmed, imprisoned in the Sabarmati Central Jail, was in the high security zone, but the report of talking through WhatsApp calls came to light. It is believed that all the jails where such serious matters are exposed have been raided.
After the meeting of the Minister of State for Home Affairs Harsh Sanghvi with the top police officers including the state’s metros. Raids have been conducted by police officers in jails including Mehsana, Kutch, Bhavnagar, Amreli, Bharuch, Kheda, Navsari. The Chief Minister was getting information about all these operations till late night.
All jails across the state have been raided after the meeting of Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi. It may be noted that a secret meeting of Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi was held at the DG office. In which officials including DGP, ADGP, IB, CID ADGP are present. After this meeting, a major crackdown was taken on illegal activities in the jails and raids were conducted in jails across the state.
