We now dive into the guide at hand. We’ve broken it down into a few different sections to make it easier for you to read.
Where can you fish?
If you’ve never fished before, you may be wondering where to start. That’s OK though – just go to The Somniel and walk to the pond. Here you can start fishing.
Fire Emblem Engage Fishing Guide
Fishing in Fire Emblem Engage, it turns out, is relatively easy.
Once you start the minigame, you will notice that you can see your hook floating peacefully in the water. What you’re waiting for, however, is to have your hook pulled by an unsuspecting fish. When this happens, tap A as quickly as possible.
After tapping A, you will be taken to a different camera angle. You have to be ready for a new window to appear, in which a fish swims up.
If you’re fast enough you can catch the fish by pulling down your left stick before the fish can swim past the light blue part of the window. Ideally, you pull the joystick because the fish is directly on the line.
After this you will see your character reeling in the fish and a new window will pop up to explain which fish it is!
The Fishing Guide
One last thing we need to address is that there is a fishing guide in the game.
You’ll notice that when you go to play the pond fishing mini-game, you’ll have the option to select the “fishing guide”. This guide tells you what reward each fish gives you, and whether they can be used as a meal ingredient.
The ultimate goal of the fishing mini-game is to collect all the fish that are in the fishing guide.
We should also mention that you can only fish three times a day. Fortunately, this can be reset by going to sleep in Alear’s bedroom.
