Jamanagar (Jamanagar News) The work cannot be done on time as there is not enough staff in the district panchayat. For which the Chairman of the Construction Committee has sought permission from the government to fill the contractual staff. In Jamnagar Zilla Panchayat, there is a staff shortage of 50 percent in all departments. There are many vacancies that have not been filled for years.
In Jamnagar district panchayat of Gujarat, work cannot be done on time due to lack of sufficient staff. For which the chairman of the construction committee has sought permission from the government to fill the staff on contract basis. Because there is not much money in the government scheme or because of the approval process, the work is delayed. But various works under various schemes have been sanctioned in Jamnagar. The work cannot be started or completed on time despite having sufficient grant and money. In Jamnagar District Panchayat, there is a staff shortage of 50 percent in all departments. There are many vacancies that have not been filled for years. Due to lack of sufficient staff in the construction wing of the Zilla Panchayat, construction works including roads cannot be started or completed on time.

In construction branch, 72 percent of additional assistant engineer, 40 percent of assistant engineer and 50 percent of deputy executive engineer are vacant. Due to vacancies, work is delayed due to lack of sufficient staff for supervision of ongoing work, quality control and operations.

A presentation made to the Chief Minister
District Panchayat Swabhandol Sadar has sought permission to hire a total of 9 technical assistants on contract basis for 11 months. which has not been approved by the Development Commissioner. For that, the Chairman of the Construction Committee has submitted a written request to the Chief Minister. BJP-ruled district panchayat construction committee chairman K. B. Gagiya has written a written letter to the Chief Minister and proposed to recommend him for the recruitment of staff.
Out of 4 posts of Deputy Executive Engineer 2 are vacant and 2 are filled
Only 7 posts out of total 25 posts of Additional Assistant Engineer in District Panchayat are filled. So 18 posts are vacant. 72 percent of Additional Assistant Engineer posts are vacant. Out of total 5 posts of Assistant Engineer 3 are filled and 2 are vacant. In which 40 percent of the posts are vacant. Out of 4 posts of Deputy Executive Engineer 2 are vacant and 2 are filled. In which 50 percent space is vacant.
The Executive Engineer is also in charge. Over the years, representations have been made to several departments, including MLAs, high officials, regarding vacant posts. There is no solution to this and a request has been made to the Chief Minister to allow the Panchayat to recruit on contract basis for 11 months by giving salary from self-funds.
