The state government has announced new guidelines for the maintenance of every bridge and canal in the state. In which all the bridges and canals across the state will be inspected twice a year. Inspection will be done in May before monsoon and in October after monsoon. The responsibilities of the officials have been laid down in the inspection and review of culverts. From time to time, the authorities will have to carry out mandatory inspection of the culverts. The officers and authorities have to register the performance report.

It may be mentioned that after the collapse of the Morbi Zhulto Pool, a hearing is going on in the High Court regarding the condition of the state’s bridges. in which High Court The state government was challenged that a complete investigation report of all minor and major bridges in the state should be submitted to the court.
