BJP MP from Karnataka’s Kolar district S Muniswamy publicly insulted a woman during an event on March 8 on International Women’s Day itself. On the occasion of International Women’s Day, he publicly reprimanded a business woman for not wearing a bindi on her forehead. Now the BJP MP is getting a lot of criticism regarding this incident.
Kolar Lok Sabha MP S Muniswamy inaugurated the exhibition and sale fair on Women’s Day. While visiting different stalls of the fair, BJP MP S Muniswamy reprimanded a woman vendor, saying, “Come wearing a bindi first, your husband is alive, isn’t he? You have no common sense.”
This video of the MP scolding the woman is going viral on social media. Women are commenting sharply on the video and instructing MPs to respect women. Condemning the incident, the Congress party said that such incidents reflect the BJP’s culture.
After this controversy, MP Muniswamy has not yet come out with any clarification.
