The Demon Hunter is an infamous hero class introduced with the release of WoW Legion. Unique in that is one of two classes that only have two different specs, their choices for talents tend to be more variant than others. Of the two, the Havoc spec is the one that focuses on dealing damage. If you’re interested in playing one, here are some of the best builds to pull off in Dragonflight.

Strongest Havoc Demon Hunter talent built in WoW Dragonflight

Havoc Demon Hunters are the devils of speed and attack in WoW Dragonflight, and as DPS their job is to deal as much damage as possible in a short amount of time. They strongly favor consistent damage, but pack a healthy dose of burst when it’s really needed. Their focus is heavily on the Momentum, a high investment talent that provides an 8% universal damage boost while active.

general play:

This is a general Havoc Demon Hunter build that focuses on being decent in all forms of content within Dragonflight. The core of this build prioritizes maintaining momentum while maintaining your metamorphosis through Eye Beam and Cycle of Hatred. Additionally, using the Essence Break capstone ability during Demonic procs through Eye Beam use, you can unleash a massive amount of burst damage in a single target or in AoE (Area of Effect). This is a good all-rounder that won’t steer you wrong.

A major weakness of this build is that it lacks Fodder to the Flame, which summons a demon that you can kill instantly with your glaive to give you your native 20% damage boost for being a Demon Hunter, and a huge 25% heal . It’s possible to disable Glaive Tempest instead, if you prefer more damage to one target than AoE damage.

Default AOE build

This build prioritizes strong AOE damage in situations that rely on it, such as the encounter with the Primal Council in the Vault of the Incarnate attack and in Mythic+. By using Ragefire in conjunction with Soulrend and Burning Wound, you can inflict massive damage to large groups of enemies. Plus, this spec still performs solidly in single-goal situations thanks to the addition of fairly powerful DoTs (Damage over Time) via Soulrend and Burning Wound. Note that Essence Break and Momentum remain key factors in causing competitive harm. This build also uses Any Means Necessary, a talent that turns all of your non-physical damage ability into Chaos, greatly increasing those abilities from your Mastery stats. Any Means Necessary dramatically improves Mastery’s value as a stat.

A major weakness of this build is the lack of a powerful Eye Beam. The ability is quite weak and only used right before Essence Break so it can activate Demonic and allow you to use the Essence Break window to deal damage during Metamorphosis.
